This community-based training program helps prepare interested individuals for competitive employment so that they may learn to live and work in the community as independently as possible. Experienced counselors provide more support than the Supported Employment program. Individual and small group training focus on building employment skills such as punctuality, personal hygiene, verbal appropriateness, time management, self-control, stress management and using public transportation. Common job tasks to develop motor skills and self-confidence are also taught. This service is only available in Westchester County.

The Network's specialized program for Offenders with Developmental Disabilities offers a range of flexible services and supports to adults who exhibit patterns of offending behaviors, including adjudicated individuals and those deemed incompetent to stand trial. Services are designed to address individual needs and safety requirements. Through treatment programs, individuals are afforded opportunities to become productive and valued members of society by developing necessary life skills in the areas of personal care, interpersonal relations and career development. These individuals are eventually able to reside in the community and receive supports and services in the community. This service is only available in Westchester County.

To help individuals secure competitive employment, this program provides a full range of training and follow-up support services. Our Job Developer analyzes the individual’s interests, capabilities, needs for assistive technology and/or social skills counseling, and may suggest personalized training and other solutions to help ensure employment success. Each person is matched with an Employment Specialist who provides customized supports including transportation, job training and oversight — providing as much, or as little, assistance as the individual requires on a regular, ongoing basis. This is a waiver service and only available in Dutchess and Westchester Counties.
