In 1999, after Mathias and Blessing had worked in more that ten agencies jointly, they put their heads together to create a unique curriculum for what an agency that provides services and supports should look like - that vision led to the birth of Taconic Innovations Inc.

Originally founded by Mathias and Blessing Oni-Eseleh as an agency that was non-traditional and intended to provide services to children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Hudson Valley Region. Taconic Innovations soon became a leader in the provision of unique services and supports.

Throughout our short but interesting history, Taconic Innovations Inc. has been a beacon of light, leading efforts for community-based services with a strong belief in community inclusion, has a history of creating a level playing field for people with disabilities, and is the leading provider of services that have made a tangible difference in people's lives.

Today, Taconic Innovations Inc. provides services in seven counties and serves approximately 560 consumers annually.
