Our Organization:
Taconic Innovations Inc., a 501(c) (3), not for profit organization, was founded in 2000 to provide unique and individualized services and supports to children and adults with autism and other Developmental Disabilities. Over the years, our Organization has grown. It currently employs over 300 staff, and serves over 600 individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities annually. It is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
Our Leadership Team:
Taconic Innovations carries out its work through paid and sometimes volunteer staff. Our staff members do "whatever it takes" to support each person served by Taconic Innovations. Their commitment is seen every day in the work that we do.
Our History:
Throughout history, Taconic Innovations Inc. has been a beacon of light, leading efforts for community-based services with a strong emphasis on community inclusion. Taconic Innovations has a history of creating a level playing field for people with developmental disabilities, and is one of the leading providers of services that have made a tangible difference in people's lives.
Today, Taconic Innovations Inc. provides many community based services and supports and is committed to building a bridge to independence for many individuals diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Because of our record of quality services in 2010 we embarked on a new venture and started the Bridges to Success Program for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to provide competitive employment opportunities for them.
As we look to the future, Taconic innovations remains committed to assisting many individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities life a is abundant and that provides them the opportunity to realize their dreams. Our strong belief in community based services and supports and a history of building a bridge to independence for individuals with developmental disabilities has made us a leading provider of the services that make a difference in people’s life.
